The Safezone
What the hub is for, what's inside it, why you can't live there, and the two things it deletes without asking.
On this page
The safezone is the base of operations: a protected 500 m-radius area on the south coast where nobody can be hurt. Every hub trader is inside it, a few metres apart, with their task boards, your stash, the player market and the deploy point.
What's in it#
- The traders — Prapor, Therapist, Skier, Peacekeeper, Ragman, Jaeger and Ref, and their task boards. Mechanic, Fence and the Lightkeeper are elsewhere on purpose; Traders says where.
- Your stash, upgraded over the wipe through tasks. The stash.
- The player market, for selling to other players without meeting them.
- The deploy point — the Land Cruiser and the customs gate by the entrance. It's the only way out. Deploy & extract.
Face-to-face trading with players outside your group happens at a trader — here, or at the three outposts — and the player market is always fine. Meeting a stranger in the field to hand over gear counts as teaming under the rules.
New characters start outside it#
A fresh character spawns on the coast, not in the hub. Your first task — handed to you automatically — completes when you reach the safezone and gives you an Alpha secure container. Until then you're a normal spawn on a normal coast, so don't dawdle.
You can't live here#
Thirty minutes is the limit. Stay longer and you're warned; keep staying and your food, water and health start draining, faster the longer you stay. Step outside and it recovers — but it decays rather than resets, so you can't clear it by stepping over the line and back.
The point is that the hub is a place to trade and plan, not a place to wait out the night or watch the deploy point.
What it deletes#
- Anything dropped on the floor is gone after 2 min. No warning, no compensation. Hand items to people directly or use the safe trade.
- A vehicle left in the safezone is deleted after 2 h. Park it, do your business, take it with you.
Vehicles can't be damaged inside the zone, so a parked one is safe from other players for that window — just not from the clock.
Building near it#
The hub sits inside a no-build zone. Try to place a piece there and the game refuses; there's nothing to report. Building lists the other zones.
