§ 08Base Building
Building
Placing pieces with the blueprint, the rules the game enforces, no-build zones, dismantling, and the few things that still need a ticket.
Everything is built from the blueprint in your hands — 1 ₽ from Jaeger, along with the code lock (125,000 ₽) and the cinder blocks. Hold it, aim where you want the piece, pick from the radial menu. No kits.
Placing#
- Look at a snap point and the piece locks onto it. Look anywhere else and it places freely — that's how you fit a base inside a building.
- Scroll wheel rotates 10° a notch. Hold
Jwhile scrolling for 0.5° when you need it exact.Rmakes the big turn — a quarter or a half, depending on the piece. - Rotation applies to free placement. A snapped piece takes the angle of whatever it snapped to.
\(backslash) cycles the placement mode: automatic, snap only, free only. Snap-only stays red until it finds a snap point, so a wall can't slip into free placement on you; free-only never snaps. Rebind it under Options → Controls → EFD.- Floors don't snap to floors. A floor hangs off the top of a wall. To extend a floor sideways, free-place it flush against the one you have; touching another part counts as supported.
Rules of the site#
These are enforced by the game — a red hologram tells you why, and there's nothing to report:
- Nothing floats, but touching counts. A piece needs something under it, or it must touch something solid: another piece, a house wall, a rock, a tree. Nothing may hang more than 3 m past what holds it up.
- Height cap: 25 m above the ground.
- Walls sit 1 m apart — you can't bury three in the same space. Doors and windows are exempt, which is why they still fit their own frames.
- Ladder hatches don't exist here. They're gone from the build menu entirely.
- No-build zones — 63 of them, drawn on your map — cover the hub (500 m around it), Tisy, the military sites and the points of interest. Check before you haul materials somewhere.
The rules add what the game can't judge, and there are only a few: once a raider is through your defences they must be able to fight back and reach everything inside; don't build on event spawns, lootable containers or static structures; don't build to camp an extract or a spawn; one sleeping bag per player. There is no door, gate, window, floor or base-count limit any more.
Taking it back down#
Anyone authorised on the territory can dismantle at any time — there's no ten-minute window. Materials come back roughly 60 times in 100, 90 for frames, at 2 to 6 items a piece. A door with a code lock on it can be dismantled by anyone authorised — double doors, garage doors and hatches included — and the lock is destroyed with it, so take your own lock off first if you want to keep it.
Finish your walls
A frame is the weakest thing you can leave standing, weaker than the wood it upgrades into. Unfinished walls are how most bases get opened. Raiding has the numbers.
Claiming the ground#
A base without a territory generator isn't yours: anyone can build on top of it, and it decays. Territory and upkeep is the next page to read.
